A Sonic Hug Returns
A SONIC HUG PODCAST RETURNS FOR FOURTH SERIES
Mental Health Storytelling Podcast Launches New Episodes with The Big Light
A Sonic Hug podcast launches its fourth series this February, continuing its mission to share authentic stories about mental health experiences. Featured by The Guardian, The Times, The Metro and the Mental Health Foundation, the podcast returns with eight powerful episodes exploring chronic illness, grief, anxiety, sexual assault, cancer, and more.
"A Sonic Hug podcast provides a platform for raw, unfiltered conversations about mental health," says creator Halina Rifai. "Drawing from my own 25-year journey with PTSD and panic disorder, I understand the importance of creating a safe space for these often unspoken experiences. The podcast's strength lies in its authenticity - these are real stories that remind us we're not alone in our struggles."
Series 4 features conversations with writer Tomiwa Folorunso discussing PMDD, journalist Adam Miller aka OldFirmFacts sharing his experience with Crohn's disease, musician Matt Hickman (Brownbear) exploring grief and anxiety, amongst others who bravely share their stories of navigating complex mental health challenges and life-changing experiences.
